Limitation on obtaining protective order in DV matters. The Delhi High Court in the case of Hima Chugh v. Priyam Sadaphule held that protection order under the Domestic Violence Act can be obtained only against such person who is in a domestic relationship with the aggrieved person. If a person has never been a part of the domestic relationship with the aggrieved person, all the such person may be a relative of the main accused, no protective order can be obtained against such person.
