The Supreme Court of India, on 18th January 2021, made it coherent that it will not be the one to decide whether Farmers are to be allowed to enter into the premises of Delhi on 26th January 2021, for the proposed ‘Tractor Rally’. The Bench headed by Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde, comprising Justices L. Nageswara Rao, Vineet Saran, A.S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian, noted that the “first authority” to decide for or against the entry of Protesting Farmers was with the Delhi Police, and not the Supreme Court.
