The Odisha State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission found Amazon India guilty of 'unfair trade practice' for retracting an offer for sale of laptop at Rs. 190/-, after issuing a confirmation receipt. The President of the Commission, Dr. DP Choudhury, thereby directed the company to pay a sum of Rs. 40, 000/- as compensation to the Complainant, an aggrieved law student.
