SC: JUDGES SHOULD NOT BEHAVE LIKE EMPERORS The Supreme Court recently observed that state officials perform their duties as the third limb of governance and that the HC can set aside a decision which fails to meet the test of judicial reviews. The Court opined that the summoning of officers frequently is not appreciable at all and the same should be condemned in the strongest words. The court also noted that such practice goes against public interest as official work gets delayed, creating an extra burden on the officers.
