Rajasthan High Court denies protection to widow living with married man, calls it illegal and anti-social The widow in the petition claimed that they got married in June 2021 according to Hindu rites and rituals. Due to which the respondents are harrassing them as they did not like this. The bench held that since the man’s first marriage still subsists, this marriage is void-ab-initio. In such circumstances, giving protection to such illegal relationships would be against the fabrics of society and dismissed the plea on such grounds.
