[PORN RACKET CASE] RAJ KUNDRA MAY GO BACK TO PRODUCING OBSCENE FILMS, WIPE OUT EVIDENCE: MUMBAI POLICE OPPOSES BAIL PLEA IN MUMBAI SESSIONS COURT The Mumbai Police has opposed the bail plea moved by Raj Kundra in the Mumbai Sessions Court, contending that if Kundra and others accused in the porn film racket case are released, the victims may refuse to come forward to give further evidence out of fear. The submission was made in the reply filed by the Police to the bail application moved by Kundra, who is presently in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the porn racket case. Additional Sessions Judge Sonali Agarwal had earlier directed the police to file its response to the bail plea. In their 10-page Marathi affidavit, the Mumbai Police apprised that after the present First Information Report (FIR) was registered, several affected women and victims had approached the police raising grievances. To avoid his influencing of such witnesses, it was important to keep him in custody, the police stated. The police submitted that Kundra was arrested because he attempted to destroy evidence from his electronic devices.
