THREE MEMBERS OF A FAMILY KILLED IN ACCIDENT IN VIRAR : MUMBAI Three members of a family travelling on a scooter were killed after their vehicle was hit by a water tanker in Virar on Tuesday. Yogesh Madhvi (32) was riding the scooter. His mother Sunita (60) and daughter Veda (10) were riding pillion. They were not wearing helmets. They were travelling from Chandip village to Virar. The unidentified tanker driver fled from the spot after abandoning the vehicle. A case under Section 304(a) (Causing death by negligence), Section 337, 338 (Causing hurt), Section 279 (Rash driving) of the IPC and Section 184 (Driving dangerously) of the Motor Vehicle Act has been registered against the tank driver.
