NO LICENSE CANCELLATION OF LIQUOR VENDER: DELHI HIGH COURT Deputy Commissioner Excise v. M/S 2 Bandits Restaurant Delhi High Court held while dismissing a petition that licence of liquor vendor cannot be cancelled on the ground of public sentiment. The license will not be cancelled until statutory provision or otherwise established to be in violation of rule or regulation. The bench was aware that principles of res extra commercium apply but under that the cancellation is not justified.
