JOURNALIST ARE NOT EXPECTED TO DRAMATIZE A HORRIFYING OR SENSATIONAL INCIDENT TO MAKE NEWS The Allahabad High Court while adjudicating upon a bail plea moved by a journalist, who was accused of inducing a man to die so that it could be filmed, held that a journalist is never expected to sensationalize a horrifying incident for the purpose of making news. Accordingly, the Court declined to grant bail. The Court also made observations about the limits within which journalists should remain while bringing information to the public.
