Domestic Violence Surges amidst Lockdown In view of the outbreak of Covid-19, the Central Government had ordered for nationwide lockdown on 25th March, 2020 for a period of 21 days. The National Commission for Women has recorded more than double the cases regarding domestic violence during this lockdown. The total complaints from women rose from 116 in the first week of March to 257 in the last week.
