LAKHIMPUR KHERI: ACCUSED ASHISH MISHRA ARRESTED BY UTTAR PRADESH POLICE Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister for State, Ajay Mishra Teni, has been arrested in connection with the killing of 8 persons at Lakhmipur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. The eight people which included farmers protesting the Farm Laws, were mowed down by a four-wheeler belonging to Mishra. An FIR had earlier been registered against Mishra and several other persons in connection with the incident for offences of murder and rioting. The Supreme Court had also taken cognizance of the incident after two lawyers from Uttar Pradesh had written a letter to CJI NV Ramana seeking a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). During the hearing of the matter on Friday, the Court had expressed its displeasure with the manner in which the Uttar Pradesh government and police were handling the issue. Chief Justice of India NV Ramana who was heading the Bench hearing the case, observed that looking at the way the investigation was proceeding, it did not seem that the authorities were serious. The UP government had, however, assured the Court that action would be taken. Reddy & amp; Reddy Law Firm is having team of advocates and will help you in all Criminal matters.
