DELHI HIGH COURT RESTRAINS NETFLIX, CNA FROM BROADCASTING DOCUMENTARY “A BIG LITTLE MURDER” The Delhi High Court has restrained Channel News Asia (CNA) and Netflix from broadcasting and streaming the documentary “A Big Little Murder”, which reportedly deals with the death of a student in 2017 at a Gurugram school (St.Xavier's Education Trust Vs Mayurica Biswas, Media Corp digital Network and Netflix Entertainment services LLP). Justice Jayant Nath, earlier this week was hearing a plea by the school’s trust that alleged that the documentary. In original form, violated court order on the protection of privacy and the reputation of the parties involved in this case. However, the judge clarified that, “the defendants may stream the said documentary after deleting all references to the plaintiff school in question and portion where the building of the school is depicted.” The matter is still pending before the sessions court in Gurugram which had directed everyone not to use the real names of parties in case.
