CHALLENGE TO MINIMUM AGE, EXPERIENCE CRITERIA FOR SENIOR DESIGNATIONS: MADRAS HIGH COURT The Madras High Court issued a notice to its administrative side in a public interest litigation (PIL) petition challenging the validity of Rules 4(1)(a) and 4(1)(b) of the Madras High Court Designation of Senior Advocates Rules, 2020, which prescribe a minimum age (45 years) and experience criteria for an advocate to be eligible for designation as a Senior Advocate.
